The fabrics that I use have been naturally dyed using what is found in nature itself, berries, bark, avocado stones and the occasional rusty nail or cup of tea. The blues are cyanotype photography of plants and herbs printed on linen. I love Folk Art and use the themes from antique samplers to make  my own interpretation of them. Fabric collages, sometimes with text, sometimes without and some of them I turn into cuff bracelets.  I am fascinated by the anonymous work of women, finely stitched and exquisite, their maker long gone, once cherished and now to be found in Antique shops for very little money. These works fill me with an obscure grief and love at the frailty of what remains after our lives are over.
